Review summary
Based on recent reviews
Powered by AI
Roganstown Hotel & Country Club is appreciated for its spacious rooms equipped with coffee, TV, and bathtub, and its proximity to Dublin Airport makes it a convenient choice, especially when combined with dinner at the on-site restaurant. The beautiful grounds feature a golf course, with some guests enjoying views of the yard, even at night. While most find the property well-maintained, a few guests have noted that the TV in the room could be larger, and the bus connections are not the best when travelling without a car, although Swords and Malahide are nearby.

The bar food was good (especially the burger).
The room was not hoovered properly. It was disappointing. Several people also complained that they had no hot water for days. The rooms felt tired.

Underwhelming Stay and Poor Service

basic workoutlong waitheating system
The gym was acceptable. It had enough equipment for a basic workout.
The check-in process was frustrating. I waited far too long with only one person handling the desk. Then, the room temperature was unbearable. The heating system seemed stuck on high, and I couldn't adjust it at all!

an okay stay overall

comfortable roomfriendly stafftired hotelclunky chair
I found the room quite comfortable. the triple room included a separate single bedroom with a little hall dividing the rooms. the staff was super friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They were always available when i needed something.
The hotel seemed a bit tired. I think it could use some refurbishment. the bar restaurant seating felt a little awkward. The chairs were too big and clunky.

Quiet Location with Good Amenities

great poolfriendly staffperfect locationundesired limescale
The leisure center includes a great pool. The staff were great too be friendly. I found the location perfect as it is close to the airport. We could travel easily to places north of Dublin from there.
The shower head had some undesired limescale, so it could use a bit more scrubbing. I think they could improve on this.

The room included a coffee machine. Breakfast was fresh and hot. I found all staff friendly, too. I have booked a break for the end of December because it was so nice.
The roads to the hotel had too many twists and dangerous bends. The temperature in my room couldn't be adjusted, though the room was a good size.

I liked that the location was convenient to the airport. Staff members seemed friendly. I could rent golf equipment at the hotel. The pool looked like a great addition.
I stayed as part of a business trip. The shower head had some limescale. Food felt overpriced to me.
